Throughout
history and the entire multiverse of the scriptures, high places has always
been a point of significance and a token of sight, an establishing point and
platform where kings, priest and even warriors set out to make transactions from
a deity to receive strategy to war or to offer sacrifices in exchange for
power, fame or for the good of the land. It is highly a scared place.
High
places are homes to spiritual structure via the technology of altars and are
considered a power house in the scriptures, one of the things the lord does when
bringing judgement to a territory is by destroying their high places and
bringing it to ruin. Lev
26:30-31: And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and
cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation,
and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. (KJV)
One
of the most interesting icon in the scripture that need to be brought to our
notice is that of king Solomon, he had quite an affection and hobby to offer
sacrifices across different territory, one of the entry points to his success
was through sacrifices, he developed a system around it thanks to his father
David. This was what said of king Solomon
1
Kings 3:2-4 Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no
house built unto the name of the Lord, until those days. And Solomon loved the
Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt
incense in high places. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for
that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer
upon that altar. (KJV)
Solomon
a great king, went about sacrificing on altars of different territories, burning
incenses, what seems captivating was the thousand burnt offering he did upon
the great high place in Gibeon, he alone did that as the bible as said and the
foundation of this adventure was that he loved God, this became the entry point
to his success because the proceeding scripture said that the lord met him in
his dream and offer him an open cheque and eventually he became not just wisest
but the wealthiest man in the history of humanity (1 Kings 3:5-7) why?? he loved God and
attracted the lord with sacrifices going from high places to another places
burning incense which however later secured favor with God.
your high
place is mixed with the right heart condition, love, and your prayers with an
addictive of time which is also a sacrifice which makes up an offering as incenses
to the lord. Elevated things of the spirit are capture via altars and the lord
himself won’t release transgenerational covenants and virtues to a man who doesn’t
know his way around to his high place. A man who doesn’t value his altar cannot
be established in the place of destiny.
David was
a priest and king which by training understands the foundation that makes up
priesthood and as a man of prayer and of war, he knew by understanding and experience
that the High place is a place of sight for him, sight not on the low level but
that of elevated places because it is believed that the lord dwells on High and
things that comes from him must be captured from an elevated state and David
said ,
He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places(2Sam
22:34). David knew the courier to his elevated place and his source of
his strength, under God his feet was like hind's feet which enabled him to be
established in the place of altars.
High
places are altars and the altar is located in your heart, the place where the
king resides, the issues of life becomes tangible from that platform to the
outer realm and the holy spirit is the one who give strength to elevate us in
our heart to meet with God just as David’s feet was made as an hind. David
never lost any battle neither did king Solomon experienced war during his reign
and one common principle practiced was priesthood in the altar of the lord.
They always operate from on High and that was the standard given in other to
live a victorious life.
2 Cor 1:21-22 Now he
which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath
also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.(KJV)
Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth
the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
The spirit
of God has a voice and its always crying out and reaching out to the father, as
it help makes intercession for us, we as believer ought to always partner with
the spirit of God to lead us, help us live a victorious life and make us
relevance according to the will of God, such is an affair around the altar.
Keep your high place active, keep it sacred, let it be a place of sight, let it
elevate you into the hill of the lord, In that place will you find covenant and
the blessings of the lord.
Shalom
